| 1. An insert casting component comprising:
an outer surface insert cast in cast metal, the outer surface having a coating of a heterogeneous metal layer, the heterogeneous
metal layer including one or more dispersed metal phases in a base metal phase, wherein at least one of the dispersed metal
phases is a low melting point metal phase made of a metal having a melting point lower than that of the base metal phase and
the cast metal.
