Digital Linear Tape Products
Digital Linear Tape Products are available for purchase from the Electronic Information Products Division. These bulk-data products deliver patent and trademark information as facsimile images or searchable text records.
OnLine Products
Online Data Products are available via a data file directory file transfer protocol (ftp) or via the electronic information products sales order management system (SOMS).
Via Data File Delivery (DFD) File Transfer Protocol (FTP):
Some downloadable products are available through a paid subscription to the USPTO's Data File Delivery (DFD) FTP service. Upon receipt of payment, the USPTO will provide Host Address, Port, User ID, and Password for accessing the Data File Delivery (DFD) System. See the current price list for cost and availability.
Via Electronic Information Products/Sales Order Management System (HTTPS) :
Many free data products are available for direct download from https://EIPweb.uspto.gov/SOMS. Read the Frequently Asked Questions at that location for easy-to-understand instructions on how to use the system - it is not necessary to establish an account to download free data files from this location.
Cost and Purchase Information
USPTO products may be purchased by check or money order, credit card, or USPTO Deposit Account. Requests must include a telephone number for customer contact. Credit card and deposit account payments require the amount authorized to charge to the account. Credit card and deposit account payments may be submitted by mail or by fax.
