Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: As with probably most neophyte idealists, I tried to list my idea with a commercial organization, namely Davison Inventegration. Though I informed Mr. [ ] that I have terminal cancer and cannot afford any listings fees, he encouraged me to submit the (enclosed copy) drawing of my idea anyway, and they would then evaluate and/or discredit the commercial viability of the project. Of course, once they received the drawing, they asked why I had not at least included a partial payment of their fees, and informed me that my personal problems were of no interest to them.
My only interest in pursuing this idea was to hopefully provide a little income for my wife in her later years. I assume that Davison either will/has already submitted this or a similar drawing for patent approval. I realize that griping about it is futile, and can’t afford to sue them for false promises, but I hope your office will at to prevent future occurrences of this theft of ideas.
